Treasurer – Richard Jefferies Museum

The Richard Jefferies Museum Trust is looking for a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference, ‘giving back’ to the community by using your financial expertise in this voluntary position to ensure the Trust’s
smooth and sustainable operation.

The Treasurer ensures that effective and appropriate financial measures, controls, and procedures are in place. They are responsible for overseeing the preparation of annual accounts, as well as serving as a key decision-maker on financial matters by offering financial insights and guidance around risks, opportunities and our long-term financial
needs.

The Treasurer will need to have the time to give to the role to ensure the effective financial management of the Trust. There are a maximum of four Trustee meetings a year (quarterly), which typically last 1 hour per meeting, with additional hours committed at financial year end.
