Activator Volunteers- LiveWell Swindon

Activators have an important role in enabling people to feel confident and comfortable to enjoy activities and sessions. An Activator’s role is to assist the LiveWell Swindon activities team in the delivery of group-based activities. We currently offer

• Active and Inclusive Sessions – including Wheels 4 All cycling, three times a week at the athletics track, by the County Ground, Swindon.

Mondays: 9:45 – 11:15

Thursdays: 10:30 – 11:30am & 12:00 – 13:00pm

• Projects around conversation groups, allotments, walking groups and a women’s group for our newest residents
• Health Promotion – including events and campaigns aimed at raising awareness around cancer screening, stopping smoking, losing weight etc

We offer our volunteers ongoing support with monthly newsletters, drop-ins and regular talks and training.

For all our one to one volunteer roles, we ask for the completion of a registration form, two referees and a DBS, which we pay for.
