Creative Programme Organiser at The Recovery Tree

Do you have knowledge, training, experience of delivering craft activities and of working with people with mental health issues?

Would you like to be part of a forward thinking, innovative team?

Here at The Recovery Tree Charity we work with people with mental health conditions and provide support and training to help them gain skills, confidence and self-esteem through our projects of TWIGS and The Olive Tree Café, and have been doing so for the past 21 years.

We are looking for someone to organise, plan and ensure effective delivery of a programme of craft activity sessions to service users at TWIGS with a focus on crafts related to nature.

The programme will include using your own skills and those of the TWIGS staff team, alongside commissioning outside people with suitable skills and experience to assist with the delivery of this element of the TWIGS service. We also want to work towards ensuring self-financing of workshops and developing and building a culture of payment from participants.

The post is 14 hours per week – to be worked on Tuesdays and Thursdays usually between 9.30 – 4.00pm with occasional flexibility according to activities at the project. There may be opportunities to work additional hours. The successful applicant will be self-employed.

Starting salary will be in the range of £8,030 – £9,125 (full-time equivalent of £21,059 – £24,442, equivalent hourly rate of £11.00 – £12.50) depending on previous experience, expertise and qualifications.
