Swindon Lions Club have been running the fireworks at the Polo Ground for many years. After a 2 year absence due to the Covid pandemic, the event was held again in 2022, and very successfully – raising nearly £11,500 for worthy causes.

The fireworks takes a lot of organising and requires a large number of hours worth of manpower by a group of dedicated volunteers. They are always assisted by friends who kindly give their time.

This year, they are facing a shortfall in manpower for running this event, and there is a very real risk that it will not happen for that reason. This is not a decision that they want to have to make, and therefore if you are able to help them stage this landmark Swindon event, they would love to hear from you.
