Swindon Circles is a wonderful volunteer scheme aimed at reducing loneliness for Swindon residents that have poor mobility, are unable to get out of the house and have few social contacts. Our volunteers visit their Circles friend on a regular basis for a cuppa and a chat about anything from the weather to their favourite films.

We try to link volunteers with someone that shares their interests, maybe gardening or sport, a game of scrabble or a jigsaw. Friendships grow and connections blossom. Swindon Circles Befriending offers flexible volunteering around the days and times you visit someone.

We offer our volunteers ongoing support with monthly newsletters and drop-ins and regular talks and training.

For all our one to one volunteer roles, we ask for the completion of a registration form, two referees and a DBS, which we pay for.
