Voluntary Action Swindon’s Achievement of Trusted Charity Standard Level 1

We are very excited to announce that at Voluntary Action Swindon has been awarded the Level 1 Trusted Charity Standard from NCVO in May this year, reflecting all of our charitable efforts and the support we give to the community.

The Trusted Charity Standards consist of helping charities improve their work and the quality of their service, whilst also being a quality mark, assessing staff, volunteers and trustees to get them involved with the process. It includes a self-assessment from the organisation, which then leads to action plans given from the Trusted Standards team.

Achieving a Level 1 in the Trusted Charity Standards is a great accomplishment as it will help us to strengthen our service in the future to ensure service users are getting the best from us as possible. We are planning to use this certification to take any crucial next steps highlighted within our report from the Standards team.

What this now means for VAS, is that we will be developing our areas of weaknesses and keeping our strengths steady to ensure that our charity is the best it can be for the local Swindon community.

A big thank you to the whole team at VAS for getting involved in the process and helping us reach the Level 1!
