Salary: £22,000 (pro rated to £13,200 based on 21 hours per week)
One year fixed with possibility of an extension

Voluntary Action Swindon are looking for a Veteran Support Worker.
This role is being funded initially for one year by the Veterans’ Foundation, we hope to be able to attract further funding to continue this role beyond the funded year.
We are looking for someone with lived experience that has an understanding of the needs of veterans. The worker will know the issues that can affect veterans in Swindon as well as the type of support that would be welcome.
The purpose of the post will be to carry out research and mapping of charities and other organisations in Swindon as well as statutory services and networks that provide support to or improve outcomes for veterans. The aim is to form a Veterans Forum that will identify gaps and pull together services to develop a strategy for veteran provision across Swindon. You will also be responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers to support this project.
