Health event volunteers needed

Happy Smiles, Healthy Hearts!

This event consists of Oral Health check and guidance, Blood Pressure check and advice, and conversations with a smoking cessation specialist. This event is specifically for adults aged between 30-64 years.

Timing: 10th September 2025 between 12pm – 4pm. It is advisable for the volunteers to be present at the venue latest by 11 am.

Venue: Main Hall, Harbour Project Building, Broadgreen Community Centre, Salisbury Street, Swindon SN1 2AN

Volunteers required: 5 (including 1 at the reception area for hall navigation and 1 in the kitchen for refreshments). Additionally, it would be preferable to have volunteers residing in areas around the venue and having the ease to move throughout their whole time inside the venue.

Volunteers’ responsibilities:

· To familiarise themselves with evacuation procedures and muster points, in case of an emergency.

· To help people navigate the hall after entering the Harbour Project building.

· To help people navigate through both, the oral health and bp checks.

· To ensure all the people fill the feedback survey either in a QR or paper format and explain to them about data anonymity.

· To ensure people who require translation services are signposted to the on-site translator.

· To ensure people have a look at the other service flyers present on a separate table.

· To ensure people present have access to refreshments.

· To ensure people facing any form of disability are provided with all forms of support in the venue.
