Location: South West Care Team, Flexible Location

Reports To: Family Support Worker

As an Events and Community Network Volunteer, you will help the South West team building a network of partners and help the team to run events for the families we support.

Your role may include:

· Contacting local businesses and attractions willing to donate their products, time or tickets to families in the South-West area.

· Supporting the team to grow their presence in the local area by networking with local organisations

· Assisting with coordinating family events especially around the school holidays

· Supporting small-scale local fundraising iniatives (in consultation with Fundraising Team)

· Representing Rainbow Trust to local organisations – this might include speaking about our work or collecting cheques/donations

· Supporting the Volunteering Team with local volunteer recruitment using print and digital channels

What we’re looking for:

· A confident and professional communicator

· Happy to work alongside our staff as part of the team

· Outgoing and happy to use initiative to grow opportunities for the team

· Confident using IT and Microsoft software

· An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality

Your commitment:

· This is a flexible role where we encourage volunteers to choose their hours to fit in with other commitments and volunteers will be able to carry out much of their role remotely.

The requirements of the role will ramp up leading up to school holidays.

· We are looking for a volunteer for a minimum of 6 hours per month
