Short Description Swindon Food Collective is the local, independent food bank serving the Swindon and District area. Our warehouse is in Westlea and our distribution centres are in Highworth, Royal Wootton Bassett, Lyneham, Walcot/Parks, Penhill, Rodbourne Cheney, Freshbrook and the town centre.
Description Last year we fed over 6,500 people through our different distribution centre’s, which are open for sessions on various days and times Monday to Friday. We accept donations of non-perishable food and give out to people in need not only the food but also household cleansing products, toiletries, sanitary wear, pet food and extras – which are items not in the normal boxes. Last year we distributed 83,833 kilos of food which provided approximately 73,000 meals. People are referred to us via CAB, CAP, SBC, WCC, Social Services, Health Visitors, Community Midwives, Schools, Churches, Probation, Turning Point, Salvation Army and many other statutory and voluntary organisations.
