Welfare and Carer Support Worker
10 Hours per week spread over 3 days

To join our small team of staff and to support our Members and Carers.
We have an opportunity for a Welfare and Carer Support Worker to join our small team of staff to support our Members, Carers and large team of volunteers. This role is contract, initially for three years with a possibility of extending this further, depending on grant funding being obtained.
As our Welfare and Carer Support Worker you will provide support to our members and carers, in particular to those needing extra assistance, and accompany them during certain therapies.
- Caring and supporting skills (including some limited personal care)
- Organisational and creative skills
- Communication skills, verbal and written
- The ability to work on own initiative, and as part of a team
- Empathy with our charitable objects and our culture of ‘self-help’.
- Enthusiasm & Interpersonal skills
- Confident & Self-motivated
Salary: £8.00 per hour
