Swindon Advocacy Movement (SAM) has a well established reputation of providing a range of advocacy services for people with learning disabilities in Swindon.
We want to create a flexible and responsive advocacy service meeting the needs of vulnerable children and adults in Swindon.
Do you have experience in any of the following areas?
Information and advice provision role (ideally in an education, health, social care or voluntary setting)
Experience of working with vulnerable adults or children
We need non-judgemental, compassionate people who enjoy working with others to make positive change happen.
Successful candidates will have:
- Understanding and experience of, and empathy with, the issues facing children and young people with SEND and their families.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to people from various backgrounds and with different communication needs.
- Understanding of the current SEND reforms.
We offer a complete package of support, supervision and training including nationally recognised qualifications.
Successful candidates must complete national Independent Supporter training.

The posts are for fixed-term contracts to run until 31st March 2017 with anticipated extension until 31st March 2018.

Part time post 16 hours per week.
