Understanding Legal Structures
Is your charity at risk?
It could be if you don’t have the right legal structure!
Do you know what your organisation and its trustees could potentially be held liable for?
Attend this course on charity legal structures, and in two hours you will know what you need to be sure you are running your organisation properly.
The course is run by Tessa Hennessy, a solicitor who specialises in advising a range of voluntary and community organisations on governance and regulatory issues. She will address topics such as:
- the pros and cons of incorporation
- the differences between Charitable Companies, Community Interest Companies (CICs), and Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs)
- how a charitable company can convert to becoming a CIO
There will be opportunities to ask questions.
