The Great Western Hospital NHS Trust announced that it had secured nearly £32million in funding to progress an exciting urgent and emergency care development, which will see a new Emergency Department and Children’s Emergency Department, and co-located assessment areas alongside Same Day Emergency Care.

They are holding an event on Wednesday 15 February, 5.15pm – 7.00pm, for local people to find out more about the plans.

The event will cover:

• How the hospital site is growing and what the new development will look like
• How the development will support the growth of our local population
• How we are going to use the funding to improve the patient experience

The session is taking place in Lecture Hall 1 of the Academy, on the Great Western Hospital site. You will be able to meet the team directly involved in the planning and have any of your questions answered in the Q&A which will follow an informative presentation.
