Voluntary & Community Sector Survey 2017
Welcome to our 2017 survey of Swindon’s Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS), which we are conducting in partnership with Swindon Borough Council.
We are in a period of change and disruption (locally, nationally and internationally) on a scale not seen for a very long time. Also, cuts in national and local government funding are happening when demand for services, and support for the vulnerable, is rapidly rising. As such, it’s vital that we continue to work on strengthening our communities and finding ways to help close the resource/demand gap.
Swindon’s fantastic VCS can be an important part of the solution, but we need to:
- understand the current state of health and capacity in the sector
- recognise and celebrate what’s going well, so that we can build on it
- discover the key issues and challenges you are facing
- understand what you think you/the sector needs to meet these challenges effectively
I do therefore hope you will complete the survey. It’s your chance to help shape not only VAS’s plans to support the sector, but also to feed into the Council’s commissioning plans and wider activity.
To complete the survey, please click on the link below. Alternatively, we can provide a paper copy of the survey for completion- just contact us on 01793 538398. Whichever way you prefer to complete it, please let us have your response by Thursday 11th May 2017.
All the responses you give will be treated in complete confidence, and the answers you give will not be reported in a way that allows you, or your organisation, to be identified as the source. If you have any questions about the survey, you can call on 01793 538398, and we’ll be glad to help.
Once all the responses are in, we will analyse the data and share the report with you. We hope to hear from you soon!
