Headway Swindon is an independent local charity that supports adults with traumatic and acquired brain injury, their families and carers. Since 1989, Headway Swindon has provided cognitive and social rehabilitation, giving each person an individual plan to enable them to meet their goals and achieve their potential. We also offer support and advice to carers and loved ones to enable them to cope with and manage the impact of a brain injury

Contract: Permanent
Hours: circa 35 hours per week, with an option for some flexibility depending on business need
Salary: circa FTE £40,000 pa
Location: Ground Floor Avocet House, The Dorcen Complex, Faraday Road, Dorcan, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN3 5HQ

Headway Swindon are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational CEO to provide vision and leadership to the charity, seek opportunities for development and growth, and maintain the strong reputation that Headway Swindon has already established. You will be directly responsible for the financial management of the charity, building on the success of the existing service and introducing new and enhanced services in line with strategic aims. The CEO will act as principal spokesperson and advocate for the charity, demonstrating integrity and commitment to key stakeholders, partners and donors to ensure the best outcomes for people affected by brain injury in the Swindon area.

You will be joining at an exciting time as they work together with the health and social care community to understand the needs of brain injury survivors in Swindon and influence the pathway for rehabilitation and longer-term support.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a small organisation in the charity or care sector, developing strategy and business plans, a track record of securing funding in a tough financial climate, excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team of staff and volunteers.
