Tony Martin

Everyone at VAS was deeply saddened to hear that Tony Martin, UK Volunteer Manager at the Zurich Community Trust, passed away last week.

Tony was an inspirational man, with an infectious smile and seemingly limitless energy and enthusiasm, despite not always enjoying the best of health in recent years. He made an enormous difference to the lives of many people and we at VAS had the great pleasure and privilege of working with him in various ways, notably through Involve and The Pride of Swindon Awards.

Tony will be greatly missed, but very fondly remembered by all who knew him. We send our condolences to his work colleagues, family and many friends.

A service to celebrate Tony’s Life will be held at 1.30 pm on Monday 16th October at the Supermarine Sports and Social Club, South Marston, Swindon, SN3 4BZ. All friends and colleagues are welcome to attend. Please does cialis have a generic email Sandra.Willmott@zct.org.uk to confirm your attendance to enable numbers to be catered for.

There will then be a short committal service at Kingsdown Crematorium afterwards for family, close friends and Tony’s ‘work family’ – the Zurich Community Trust team.

The Celebration of Tony’s life will then continue at the Supermarine club.

Many of you have asked about donations – a Just Giving page (link below) has now been set up for donations which will be matched 100% by the Zurich Community Trust and split between two charities particularly close to Tony’s heart, Swindon Young Carer’s (part of the Swindon Carer’s Cente) and the Swindon Women’s Refuge.

Alternatively cheques can be made payable to the Zurich Community Trust and sent to Sandra Willmott at PO Box 1288, Swindon SN1 1FL
