Swindon Prostate Cancer Support Group

Unity is strength, knowledge is power, attitude is everything

The Swindon Prostate Cancer Support Group was recently created for individuals who are both directly or indirectly affected by the disease. It was set up in October 2015 and is fully supported by the Urology – Oncology Department of the Great Western Hospital and in association with Prostate Cancer UK.

The group meets once every six weeks at Great Western Hospital for a chat, coffee and to listen to professionals who are guiding the group’s members through the management, effects and treatments of prostate cancer. The group is open to those who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, as well as their families and carers.

Meetings run from 6:30pm-8pm and are scheduled for the following dates:

With more dates to be available in May 2016. The group meets in the Seminar Room 2, The Academy, on the lower ground floor of the Great Western Hospital. Entrance is either via the lift in the main Atrium or via the outside door to the car parks, beside the Brunel Building at the rear of the hospital. Membership of the group is free but there is a nominal charge of £1 per person to cover expenses.
