Parkinson’s UK Coffee Mornings

Due to feedback received, Parkinson’s UK (Swindon & District Branch) have set up a Monthly Coffee Morning for Branch Members and other people affected by Parkinson’s in the Swindon Area on the first Tuesday of each month from 10am to 12pm starting on Tuesday 7th February 2017. This is to provide an opportunity to meet others with similar issues and concerns to chat and support each other.

Justin Tomlinson MP, who is a supporter of the Swindon & District Branch, has offered his premises free of charge for the use of the Coffee Mornings. The premises are located at the Orbital Shopping Park which is on main bus routes and has plenty of free parking including disabled at the rear parking area of the Orbital close to the building. There are also plenty of shops to visit while there, including Next, M&S, Boots, New Look, Outfit, Homebase and Asda.

It is spacious and has a small kitchen area, including a water boiler. There is a disabled lift to get to the upper floor and disabled toilets. It is the large glassed area on the upper floor and the entrance is in the left side as indicated in the photo.

Parkinson’s UK will have Parkinson’s information documents available for people to take away free of charge and information on the Branch and future events.

For further information on these Coffee Mornings then please contact Dave Logan, Branch Chair on 07887 354641 or by email at davelogan_parkinsons.swindon@outlook.com.
