Wellbeing Programmes Leader (part-time) at Wiltshire Wildlife Trust

Reports to: Head of Business Development and Community Engagement
Hours: 0.8 FTE (Permanent Contract with funding secured until 30/04/2025)
Based in: Devizes, SN10 1NJ
Salary: £22,784 for 30 hours, (FTE: £28,480 pa)

As a member of the Business Development and Community Engagement Team the post-holder will lead the delivery of the Trust’s Adult Wellbeing Programmes. The post holder will contribute directly to the delivery of Strategic Plan Objective 2 – ‘Lead and support the transition of society towards more sustainable living’. The post-holder will represent the Trust externally in the course of their work.

You will be part of a team with years of experience and you will have the chance to genuinely help people by leading programmes that put people with a range of issues back in touch with nature, and work in a holistic way to engage and support them to better mental and physical health.

You will lead multiple externally-funded programmes that increase nature connectedness, to enable participants to make changes to their environment whilst improving their mental health. Practical conservation and other nature-based activities provide opportunities for individuals to learn new skills, develop confidence and self-esteem, increase social inclusion and improve wellbeing.

To be a successful Wellbeing Programmes Leader, you will develop and maintain close links and partnerships with a range of referral agencies and be able to build meaningful relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. You will have an understanding of community health and mental health issues and experience of delivering outdoor activities is essential. You will lead a team of project delivery staff and volunteers. Most importantly, you will be an excellent communicator with a positive attitude who is able who think on their feet and enjoys a challenge. Some evening and weekend working will be required.
