Swindon Repair Cafe: Love the Things You Have!

Swindon Repair Cafe provides an opportunity to get people together to meet new people, share skills, and learn some new skills of their own.

The next meeting is on 14th February from 2-5pm at Savernake Street Social Hall, Savernake Street, Swindon, SN1 3LZ.

There will be a talk on looking after your bike (at 3pm) and live music.

There is no charge for coming along but you are welcome to make a donation towards the help received, which will enable the cafe to be sustainable.

The make-do and mend events have been running since October 2015 and have been organised by Dave Foster in partnership with the Eastcott Community Organisation as a way of bringing the community together, and offering a handy service for all those broken household items.

There is also a social side to the cafe. As well as getting help to mend or patch up clothes, textiles, bric a brac or bikes, attendees have the opportunity to meet new people and have a chat over tea and cake.
