Swindon Community Conference 2017
Community & Voluntary Sector groups working in Swindon are invited to attend
Swindon Community Conference 2017 on Saturday 21st January at the National Trust ‘Heelis’ offices.
The event is being organised by Voluntary Action Swindon on behalf of a number of local groups. The aim of the event is to bring together representatives from the wider sector in order to share information on projects and work taking place and to identify opportunities for collaboration and developing the sector in Swindon. It will also be an opportunity for networking.
We are aiming to ensure attendance from as wide a range of groups from across the sector as possible, so you will be able to see the wide range of community action that goes on in Swindon, benefiting all kinds of people and neighbourhoods / communities.
Voluntary Action Swindon will be launching a new project to promote equality in Swindon, in partnership with the Swindon Equality Coalition. Some of the other workshops and presentations will also have an equality theme.
The following groups are confirmed and will be presenting:
Voluntary Action Swindon
Swindon Equality Coalition
Swindon City of Sanctuary
Volunteer Centre Swindon
Registration will be from 10am. The conference will start at 10.30am and finish at 4pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
You are invited to bring two representatives along from your organisation and we recommend that, if possible, a member of your Management Board / Board of Trustees attends along with a member of Staff or Voluntary team, so that different perspectives can be shared during the event and when feeding back to your organisation.
Spaces for the conference are limited. Please register by Friday 13th January via Eventbrite using this link:
If you are not a representative of a Community & Voluntary Sector organisation but believe there would be some benefit in attending please contact us before booking.
