Investec Wealth & Investment’s specialist Charities Team invites you to join them at a series of presentations aimed at helping charity trustees and senior officers to govern their organisations effectively.

20 January – Charities and Property

Chris Hills, Investec Wealth & Investment’s Chief Investment Officer, along with Harry de Ferry Foster from the Charities Property Fund, Deborah Jennings from Moore Stephens and Hannah Kramer and Dominic Ribet from Forsters will consider the market, alternative investment opportunities, VAT implications and potential legal pitfalls for charities involved in property transactions and ownership.

11 February – Vision: Economies and Markets 

John Wyn-Evans, Investec Wealth & Investment’s Head of Investment Strategy, Stephanie Flanders, Chief Market Strategist, EMEA of JP Morgan, and Mike Hugman, Emerging Market Debt Strategist at Investec Asset Management, will present their views on global markets and, in particular, emerging markets and the outlook for interest rates in western markets.

17 March – Understanding the Basics for Effective Charity Governance 

James Minett from Investec Wealth & Investment, Moira Protani from Wilsons Solicitors, Pesh Framjee from Crowe Clark Whitehill, and David Emerson from the Association of Charitable Foundations will provide an introduction or refresher for trustees on the legal, financial and investment fundamentals of successfully governing a charitable organisation and an overview of the sector.
